Springhill Community Garden, once a disused bowling green, has blossomed into a haven for both plants and people alike. Based in Aberdeen between Sheddocksley and Mastrick, the success of the garden is owed to the collective efforts of the dedicated volunteers that give their time to develop the space while working to encourage involvement from the local community.
Since its inception in 2016, Four Pillars has been there to support and empower the LGBT+ population in Grampian. Founded by individuals passionate about bridging the service gaps for the LGBT+ community, Four Pillars aims to combat isolation and foster a sense of belonging through comprehensive support addressing mental, physical, emotional, and sexual health.
In Summer 2023 the spirit of community thrived in Aberdeen as young volunteers from Northfield and Torry orchestrated two unforgettable family fun days. Teaming up with the Denis Law Legacy Trust, known for their impactful Streetsport program in partnership with Robert Gordon University, these enthusiastic volunteers showcased their dedication to making a difference.
