The Rowett Institute are looking to recruit participants (with moderate habitual fibre intake) for a weight loss study to look at the effects of dietary fibre and artificial sweeteners on gut health. In this study, the research team will ask you to follow a set diet (all food provided) for six weeks, the diet will vary in fibre content and type.

Fancy volunteering in a nutrition study and being part of world-leading research? This is an opportunity to help develop future clinical research into pelvic cancers! We are looking for men and women over 60 years old, and the overall goal of our study is to explore the mechanism of action of dietary fibre on the gut microbiota.

As a volunteer in our shop, not only would you be meeting new friends, gaining skills and experience, but you'd also be directly supporting us to care for people when they really need it. This role (which can be a shared role), provides practical support to the shop manager in their absence.

We are looking for people to join us as a Volunteer Stockroom Assistant and help us sort, identify and keep track of stock in our shop. At Sue Ryder we are well supported with super goods coming in every day, this means we have a lot to do to sort and clean them to get them on the shop floor.

We are currently seeking volunteer support for deliveries. Deliveries are typically limited to within 30 miles of Aberdeen, and we try to limit them to Thursday mornings.

RNIB Scotland Community Connection team host various information stalls in libraries and community centres across the country to help us reach people in our communities who are affected by sight loss, and promote the various support services which RNIB offer.

ClubSport Aberdeen is a vibrant body directed by the clubs, for the clubs. As an independent charity, we provide a unified voice for sport clubs in Aberdeen at the top level across the city through our relationship with the Active Aberdeen Partnership. The board are currently looking to recruit a minutes secretary to help with board admin.

Do you have free time during the week, especially in the afternoons? We're looking for passionate individuals to join our team and help deliver food parcels to those in need.

The group enjoy a cup of tea and a chat, and provide social activities like bingo and dominoes. You will be helping people to join others with similar lived experiences while also having a great time yourself and making new friends.
