About this opportunity

Inchgarth is delighted to announce a partnership with ABZWorks where we are offering you a wide range of excellent volunteering opportunities that will give you the confidence to learn new skills, make new friends, and a snapshot of different careers that may excite you as you consider your next steps.

There's only a small level of commitment, to suit your availability. Each volunteer will sign up ABZWorks to gain a whole range of practical positive support on CV making, possible training if you require it, and information about various employment opportunities in the city. There are no obligations, no costs, no impact on your benefits, only positives where you have new doors opening for you, and our centre gains your fantastic help.

Criteria

It's very straightforward, and again, the level of commitment is wholly your decision, but to gain the new skills and confidence, we do suggest no less than 6 weeks.

  • You can't be in employment.
  • You can't be in training.
  • You can't be in education.
  • You have to live in Aberdeen city.
  • You must be aged 16-67 years of age.
  • Have the right to work and live in the UK.

Support from ABZWorks. There's lots of support from the good folks at ABZWorks, where they have keyworkers who'll help you along your journey, no matter what stage you are at. There are no obligations on your behalf, other than just signing up with them to hear what they can do for you. Don't worry, this isn't a scheme where you are forced into work, it's about volunteering to gain confidence to take your next step, while for those who feel they might be interested in getting back into work, there's so much help just waiting for you.

TO GET INVOLVED All you need to do is call us on 01224 325191 or email Jules at volunteerinchgarth@gmail.com and we'll arrange a cuppa, meeting and chat to see what you're keen on. So lets be hearing from you, get involved, make a difference in our centre and community, and help yourself along the way!
