About this opportunity
Home-Start Aberdeen supports local families, who may be vulnerable or suffering from isolation, with emotional and practical support in their own homes. Our charity shop, which raises valuable funds towards our work, opened in 2012. It is located in the heart of the city at 101 George Street, (opposite the old John Lewis store).
The shop is always keen to recruit volunteers who might wish to assist with a number of activities, including sorting and pricing stock, arranging window displays, liaising with customers and lending a hand at special promotional events. No prior retail experience is required; our friendly shop staff team provide all volunteers with advice and guidance. Volunteering at the Home-Start Aberdeen shop is therefore an opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people and gain confidence. It is also a meaningful way to support Home-Start Aberdeen's work with local families.
