We promote foundations for sustaining lifelong mental health by providing counselling services, workshops and support.
We are a Social Enterprise based in Aberdeen, and the North East of Scotland, with an aim to support those in difficult situations which affect their Mental Health.
The Specific Objectives of the Enterprise are:
We do this through providing counselling and workshops, while raising awareness of Mental Health issues and challenging the stigma around them.
These services create awareness of a healthy mind, confidence and good communication. Counselling is provided for Individuals, Couples, Young People and Carers to explore their situation, and work through their problems.
Workshops include Confidence Building, Communication and Understanding Behaviour which provide skills for maintaining a sense of self and well being. Workshops with topics such as Emotional Development, Anger Management, Stress and Anxiety help build a toolkit of strategies and coping methods. The aim of the process is to integrate learning, and change, in ways that encourage mental health to be incorporated as an important part of general health.
It is also our aim to develop this further into the community, encouraging stronger collective mental health.
We are also very interested in forming partnerships with other organisations as we see our contribution to health as part of the bigger picture of support and development leading towards healthy individuals in Aberdeen.
We work alongside and within Community Centres - Cornhill, Middlefield, Fersands and Tillydrone. We are building a base and planning to coordinate our services in these areas and have great opportunities for people to volunteer to assist in this. We will work with you with travel so you would be based more in one of the centres than moving around. Some volunteering can also be carried out from home via zoom or online.
