After 5 years of supporting families in Aberdeen and the North we are delighted to be able to provide much needed emotional and social support from Jak’s Den Aberdeen.
As part of our emotional and social support programme we now provide drop ins, coffee sessions, group support for our children with cancer through our Bespoke Bag of Worries programmes – Warriors, Siblings and TJs Bag of Worries, Seasons for Growth, Under 5 sessions, Teen sessions, parent sessions, activity days, music therapy, counselling, homework support and much more from our very own Jak's Den Aberdeen.
Sarah and Tiffeny are already having great fun with our Aberdeen families welcoming children, families and volunteers to Jak’s Den Aberdeen.
Our Aberdeen Staff and Volunteers also provide support to our families north of Aberdeen from Fort William to Fraserburgh and even up to Shetland as well as those from Aberdeen City and Stonehaven.
1:1 support is also available through home visits, phone calls or hospital visits.
We also have a Counsellor in place for any parents or grandparents struggling with their child’s diagnosis, journey or bereavement and we would be honoured to help in any way we can.

Team Jak Ambassadors can have different roles including family support and fundraising, including - raising awareness and fundraising opportunities such as bag packs, helping at a merchandise stand and collection buckets in supermarkets, schools, colleges, shopping centres and concerts.
Team Jak provides practical and emotional support to children and young people with cancer and related illnesses, their family and friends and those bereaved. We are currently recruiting Team Jak volunteers for a variety of roles including family support and fundraising opportunities
