About

When you shop with us you get the thrill of finding an amazing bargain, and a chance to help someone else get the expert care they really need.

Our Sue Ryder shop on George Street is a great high street shop in the city centre of Aberdeen. We sell a range of donated goods and a small range of new goods, including music and cards.

Find us just across from John Lewis and the main shopping centre. Please note, there are double yellow lines directly outside the shop so parking isn't possible, but parking is available nearby.

Sue Ryder is here to make sure that everyone approaching the end-of-life or living with grief can access the support they need. We can’t make life’s most difficult moments easy, but we can carry some of the load.

Dying and grief are universal experiences, but too many people face them alone. We are a safe and reassuring hand you can reach for. From providing care and support for someone at the end of their life to helping someone manage their grief, we know there is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need.

We campaign for everyone who is approaching the end of their life or grieving to have access to the right support, at the right time. And we seek to break down the barriers to talking about dying and grief - so we can all be better prepared and better equipped to be there for each other.

As a volunteer in our shop, not only would you be meeting new friends, gaining skills and experience, but you'd also be directly supporting us to care for people when they really need it. This role (which can be a shared role), provides practical support to the shop manager in their absence.

We are looking for people to join us as a Volunteer Stockroom Assistant and help us sort, identify and keep track of stock in our shop. At Sue Ryder we are well supported with super goods coming in every day, this means we have a lot to do to sort and clean them to get them on the shop floor.

Sue Ryder Charity Shops raise millions of pounds each year to enable our charity to deliver hospice and neurological care for more conditions than any other UK charity. As a volunteer in our shop, not only would you be meeting new friends, gaining skills and experience, but you'd also be directly supporting us to care for people when they really need it.
