About
St Andrew’s Children’s Society is an independent adoption and foster care agency based in Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

We have been helping families prepare to adopt since we first opened in Edinburgh in 1922. We now provide adoption and fostering services throughout the central belt and North-East Scotland and welcome adoption and fostering enquiries from all members of the community, including the LGBTQ+ community and single people, and all faiths.

We have been helping children find safe and loving homes for over 100 years. We have an office in Edinburgh and another in Aberdeen. We offer our adoption and fostering families lifelong support. This may be in the form of 1-2-1 support, group work, training events and social events. We also offer counselling to all people affected by adoption through St Andrew’s Children’s Society.
