About

Ruthrieston Community Centre is located on Holburn street and has been at the heart of the community for 150 years.  The centre offers a range of physical activities such as pilates and yoga, hobbies for example sewing and drawing and community groups meet ups.

The Centre is run under a self-governing management committee comprised of Centre users and locals who are determined to keep the facility going It is entirely run by volunteers and all income that is raised, is ploughed back into the Centre to improve the facilities for our community.

We are starting a community cafe to encourage our residents to come and interact and foster community spirit and resilience. We have host churches on Sundays and allow residents to hold birthdays and celebrations at the centre.

Do you have a flair for preparing a meal in a community setting, or have a friendly nature bring a sense of welcome to our residents then we need you. Ruthrieston Community Centre hosts a Community Cafe every Friday 12-3 and we are looking for people to come and help in the kitchen and interact with our residents.
