Since 2018, Hand of Solace offers support to socially isolated and disadvantaged members of Aberdeen City.
Hand of Solace is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) whose purpose is around:
Our aim is always to reduce social isolation and the impact of disadvantages to promote the health and mental well-being of our service users to allow them live a happier life.
Our Befriending Services, Children and Families Drug and Alcohol Support (CAFDAAS) and Social/Cultural activities are services through which we aim to support disadvantaged members of Aberdeen community to promote good health, mental well-being and communal inclusion.
We thank all our dedicated volunteers/befrienders for the amazing work they do every day to continue to support some of the disadvantaged member of our communities.

We have a range of exciting volunteer opportunities to assist in this and would be delighted to hear from anyone interested in joining our great volunteer team. This includes assisting with our Young People Befriending Service.
