We work to tackle prejudice and discrimination, celebrate diversity, build positive community relations, and provide evidence to change policy and practice.
Our services include support and advice for individuals and communities; translation and interpreting; counselling for adults and young people; language cafés and English classes; financial inclusion work; information campaigns; research; and celebrating the work of young people to promote equality in their schools and communities. We also provide training and consultancy for organisations, and take part in public and third sector partnerships.
We provide tailored training sessions and workshops on quality and diversity themes, as well as specific courses on: Introduction toEqualities; Unconscious Bias; Intersectionality; and Working Effectively withInterpreters.
Our consultancy model is about developing a partnership with organisations, helping them identify why equality is important to their work, and facilitating discussions and helping plan a way forward.
We are always looking to build our team of fantastic volunteers! Many opportunities are available, whether you want to gain more confidence speaking English in an office environment, support a research project, help out at equality and diversity events, or help with fundraising.
Are you compassionate for humanity and equality? Our new project supports the children and young people settled in Scotland due to the war conflicts (New Scots) and other circumstances. As children and young people are considered the future of our society, our team of volunteering therapists would have the opportunity to make a difference, one child at a time, together.
