About

The BIG Group is a volunteer-led charity aiming to support all people in Grampian affected by Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) raising awareness of the condition and reducing the social isolation often experienced by people affected by ABI.

We run full social and support programmes for those with a brain injury, their unpaid carers and families. Included in the programme are carer specific events such as weekends and monthly lunches. These are found to be very helpful to carers - it lets them talk informally with others who have the same challenges and helps form friendships and contacts. The programmes are designed to support and reduce the isolation or pressures often experienced.
