AberNecessities children charity is dedicated to providing essential items to children and families in need. It has become an essential service for many and has been profoundly shaped by the commitment and efforts of its volunteers.

Founded five years ago, AberNecessities aims to ensure that every child has access to basic necessities, including nappies, formula milk, clothing, hygiene products, equipment and other essential items. Our dedicated volunteer base is the foundation of our organisation and assist in operations, support distribution efforts, and engage with the community.

AberNecessities volunteers undertake a variety of roles, each critical to the organisation’s success. Their responsibilities include:

• ‍Headquarters: Sorting, organising, and packing donations in the AberNecessities HQ. Volunteers ensure that items are ready for distribution and are handled with care.‍
• Fundraising Support: Assisting with fundraising events and campaigns, from setting up and assisting at events to promoting and securing donations.‍
• Community Outreach: Engaging with fellow charities, and community groups to help support AberNecessities. Volunteers help to build and maintain relationships within the community.

The volunteers of AberNecessities are the backbone of the organisation, providing essential support that enables it to fulfil its work, objectives and future goals. Their dedication and hard work have had a profound impact on AberNecessities’ ability to support children and families in need.
