We're open for adventure... are you?
As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life.
We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more.
Each week in Aberdeen, we give more than 1,400 young people the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed, now and in the future. We’re talking about teamwork, leadership and resilience – skills that have helped Scouts become everything from teachers and social workers to astronauts and Olympians.
There is always room for more to join our adventures!
Join the Adventure - Volunteering Opportunities for Adults
We also have adult volunteering opportunities to support more young people across Aberdeen to learn those essential skills for life.
What’s your skill?
Managing people? Making tea? Admin? Planning? Sweeping up? Whatever your talent, there’s a place for it volunteering with Scouts Aberdeen.
Volunteering is not just about supporting young people to be the best they can be; it’s great for boosting your own health and wellbeing, personal development, and confidence – plus it looks great on your CV.
No experience is necessary. Whether this is your first role or you’re an old hand at youth volunteering, we’d love to hear from you. All you need is an open mind… and a good sense of humour!
What are you waiting for? Come and join our adventure now!
City of Aberdeen District is one of the largest Scout districts in Scotland with around 1200 young people and 370 adult volunteers at the last census. The District Lead Volunteer (DLV) is a key member of the District Leadership Team who leads and inspires volunteers to give young people great experiences and skills for life. They make sure their District teams are organised, have enough volunteers, and can deliver a great programme.
