Aberdeen Health Village  is seeking volunteers to assist with providing teas/coffees and a friendly ear to patients at the wonderful café in Aberdeen Health Village. An important, enjoyable opportunity to help and make a real difference for patients at the Health Village.

This is a great opportunity to support a Citywide Sheltered Housing Committee and keep it independent. They meet once a month on a Thursday 2pm - 4pm in the Town Centre. They are a highly motivated group of retired people who want to be part of their housing service. The meetings are quite informal, there is always a laugh and of course tea/coffee and biscuit is provided.

As the requirement to be able to use technology increases, many individuals find themselves excluded from the opportunities available as a result of their lack of digital awareness. In order to address this inequality you would attend local sessions throughout the city showing members of the public how to use and get the best from their own digital devices.

The Aberdeen City Council Ranger Service is expanding its highly successful volunteer ranger programme. We are recruiting committed and enthusiastic individuals to assist the Ranger Service at a variety of sites around the city. The work involved is varied and, where possible, tailored to the volunteer's interest

Food and Fun was introduced by the Council as a pilot to deliver free meals and activities to children in key areas of Aberdeen during school holiday periods and has been rolled out on a permanent basis. Over Christmas, as an extension of the project, special events were hosted for young people to enjoy the festivities, from ice skating and crafts to a disco and visit to Santa.

Aberdeen Amateur Boxing & Athletic Club is an organisation deeply seated into the community in and around Aberdeen. It is one of the oldest boxing clubs in Scotland. The organisation is making a formal call to recruit new voluntary members.

Frame running (formerly race running) originated in Denmark in the 1990s. It is an athletics event in which individuals with impaired mobility can walk or run using a special running frame called an ace runner. The running frame is a 3-wheeled frame with handlebars, a chest support and a saddle, but no pedals.
