ASA is a local charity and was founded in 1996. We provide an independent advocacy service for people living in Aberdeen City. We help people to have a voice, to gain information to help them make choices and to help them feel better prepared and able to engage with social care, health care and housing and educational professionals.

Having a conversation can have such a positive impact. That?s why we offer a Friendship Service which listens, provides friendship and offers support. We can talk about all sorts, from current interests, hobbies, personal and professional goals, top tier biscuits, time travel - the list is endless!

The ADA Music Group is looking for a volunteer with musical background who would be able to tutor either individuals or a group in some aspect of music.

Do you have a creative skill that you can share with our service users? We are looking for people with skills and knowledge in all areas of the arts who can help us to devise and deliver creative groups and sessions or one-to-one tutoring in all of our Aberdeen services.

ADA-Alcohol & Drugs Action have opportunities for Volunteer Complementary Therapists to support people who require this service in their recovery journey. We are looking for volunteers to enhance the skills and experience of our staff so that we can offer a wider range of Complementary Therapies to our service users.

People who have had problems with substance abuse often say they can lose touch with friends and colleagues, as well as losing their confidence in social situations. Buddies aim to help people build up their confidence again by supporting the person to get out and about to rediscover old interests or find new ones.

Volunteering with Action Tutoring is an easy and rewarding way to make a difference to the lives of young people. By volunteering and tutoring for just one hour a week, you will be able to directly support disadvantaged young people to build their confidence and help ensure they leave school with the grades needed to build a bright future

Action for Children Aberdeen Priority Families - be rewarded and have new experiences, volunteer with us as a Child/Young Person Mentor. Volunteer mentors guide, advise, listen to and support children/young people, sharing their experiences as well as trying new activities and spending quality time together.

Aberdeen Women's Alliance are a small, local, charity that was set up in 2004. Our aim is to enable Aberdeen womens' voices to be better heard by decision-makers. Since 2013 we have also run a successful local women's history project. Most recently during the pandemic, we have worked with our partners to make sure some disadvantaged women are having their basic needs met.
