Bridge of Don Sea Cadets, based at Gordon Barracks, is currently looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Marketing and Public Relations Co-ordinator to join its Unit Management Team (UMT). Bridge of Don is a long-established Sea Cadet Unit that has provided life-changing opportunities for many young people. The Charity is currently looking for enthusiastic volunteers that can support with the Marketing and Social Media of the Unit. There are free training courses available for you to develop new skills, boost your CV and support you in this role. These tasks can also be divided between volunteers, so why not come along with a friend and share the experience?

About the Volunteer Marketing and Social Media role:

The tasks of a Marketing and Social Media Co-ordinator include but are not restricted to the following:

  • Raise awareness of the unit to the local community through marketing and press releases.
  • Provide support and guidance to the unit on marketing and communications matters.
  • Develop links with local media and promote the use of social media to advertise the unit.
  • Manage and update the Sea Cadet unit web page and external Facebook page.
  • Support the design and production of the unit?s newsletters and notice boards.
  • Support with school engagement and visits to recruit more cadets.
  • Attend a regular UMT meeting - usually 1 hour, monthly or bi-monthly, on a weekday evening
